Congratulations, Sherry!

The Red River Valley Museum extends its appreciation to Sherry Yoakum for her service as Executive Director from 2012 to 2026.

During her tenure, the museum completed two major exhibit remodel projects that enhanced gallery spaces and strengthened the visitor experience. Sherry brought valuable management experience from her career with the United States Postal Service and applied those skills to museum operations and administration. In 2018, she earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Midwestern State University, further supporting the museum’s organizational growth.

The Board recognizes Sherry’s years of leadership and her role in guiding the museum through important periods of transition and progress. We thank her for her dedication to the Red River Valley Museum and wish her continued success in the future! Congratulations on your retirement, Sherry!
