Two lives lived Wright.

William E. (Bill) and Betty King Wright were both residents of Vernon, Texas for their entire lives. Their families settled in Wilbarger County in the 1880’s, and they were very instrumental in the growth of this community. Betty and Bill were married on February 15, 1941 and celebrated 74 years together. Their values controlled their actions and their lives. They were thankful for what they had in life and were very humble about it. It was critical for things to be accomplished and was not important about who received the credit for getting them done. They always acted with integrity, were generous and compassionate, and expressed kindness to all. This room is dedicated to them and their values.”
