Summer Art Camp 2024

This summer, the Red River Valley Museum was buzzing with creativity as 20 young artists joined us for our 2024 Summer Art Camp. Over the course of two weeks, campers embarked on an exciting journey through art history, exploring techniques and traditions from around the globe.

From the storytelling power of ancient hieroglyphics to the hands-on magic of making their own paint, students experienced the rich variety of artistic expression across cultures. They pieced together colorful mosaics, painted authentic frescos, and even experimented with the luminous beauty of stained glass.

Each project offered a chance to connect with the past while sparking imagination for the future — and the results were as unique as the young artists who created them. We are so proud of their hard work, curiosity, and creativity, and we can’t wait to see where their artistic journeys take them next!
